Estes Park Pharmacy's 3-lane drive-up was completed in August of 2003. This is the first pharmacy drive-up of it's kind in the entire nation.  What's unique about our design? We  have 3 drive-up parking spaces, each serviced by a pneumatic tube system.  You are able to wait for your new prescription while it is being filled without worrying about backing up traffic.  The drive-up also allows for fast pickup of your previously phoned-in prescriptions.  The drive-up area also has a covered roof to make your life easier when we experience bad weather.  We think you will enjoy this first-of-it's-kind drive-up and the extra service we'll be able to provide!

Can I transfer a prescription from another pharmacy?  

Yes, it's easy.  You'll just need to give us the previous pharmacy, the name of the medication, and if possible the RX number. We'll take care of the rest.  Transfers are usually ready within an hour.

What are my payment options?

Estes Park Pharmacy accepts most major credit cards, checks, and we even accept cash!

How does my insurance card work?

You present us your prescription insurance card with your prescription.  We check to see if we accept your card, and then check with your company to see if you are eligible. You only pay us your prescription co-pay, as transmitted to us by your insurance company.  This whole process usually takes about 30 seconds.  When you have a prescription card, the price is the same at all pharmacies.

Is there sales tax?

There is no sales tax on prescription or diabetic items.  Also, hearing aid batteries are non-taxable.  There is sales tax on over-the-counter items.

Can I return items for a refund?

If you need to return an over-the-counter item, and it has a factory seal on the package, we will accept it for refund or exchange.  By law, we cannot accept prescription returns for resale or reuse.

Can you special order items which you don't normally stock?

We order every evening for the next day's delivery.  You may order any item which we don't normally stock, and it is usually available by 10:00am the next business day.  Many people order a favorite skin cream, ostomy supplies, special brand of vitamin, etc... on a regular basis.  We are always happy to special order any item for you!

Can I get a printout of my expenses?

Yes, we can give you a complete printout for any date range you would like.  There is no charge for this service.

--We can also print out information on a specific medication for you. 

How are you able to offer the same prices as the chain stores?

When we began in 1987, pharmacy prices in Estes Park were very high.  Our goal was to bring the big city prices to our small town, and build our business on volume, not high prices.  We buy our merchandise for about the same price as the chain stores, and pass the savings on to you.  This is not a gimmick--it's the way we've always done business!
